Our Services

Apollo Care and Supported Housing operates specialist residential homes with “move on” opportunities to our own supported living accommodation within the Borough of Harringay.

We have appropriate facilities, programmes and the specialist support staff necessary to meet service user’s needs. We will also have our unique Domiciliary Services to provide extra Care and Outreach Support within our locality.

Our services cater for Adults (18-65 years old) with mild to severe learning disabilities who may have:

  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • Mental Health
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Complex Issues (Health and Communications)

All our homes are of mixed gender and of similar age range (18-65).

We have limited capacity for physical disability.

Our model of support is characterised by high staffing levels including waking nights with potential to provide 1:1 support when required.

We provide programmes that are comprehensive and reflects of the needs of the client. We also ensure that our staffs are matched to the clients needs and interest. This is very important so that community services are utilised to the maximum.

Our services are ‘person-centred’ within a professional and caring framework. It is intended wherever possible that service users will make the transition to supported living.

Each service users will have a Care Plan, PCP and a Health Action Plan that will be reviewed on a regular basis. We will also ensure that we work in close “Partnership” with families, statutory services, stakeholders, advocates and to “someone who has the most positive effect to our service user’s life”.

Apollo Care announced the opening of their brand new residential care home for adults with learning disability. This was registered “fit for purpose” by CSCI in January 2008.

The home has six good-sized single bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, a large lounge and dining room, a quiet room and a modernised kitchen. In addition, there are two additional toilets and one bathroom on the ground floor. Clients will have the choice of 2 communal areas and a spacious kitchen designed to encourage clients to be involved and active in their activity in daily living.

The home is ideally located and is close to a variety of shops, banks, post office, churches and recreational facilities including cinema and leisure centre-all of which are within minutes walk from home. The British Rail Stations are 5 minutes walk from Harringay and Harringay Green. The home will also provide it’s own vehicle for client’s convenience.

Our referral process is stringent and in partnership with the key person, families and other stakeholders that are appropriate to the person being referred.

All referrals will be carried out with an appropriate training and expertise in health and social care.

We work collaboratively with multi-agencies, multi-disciplines, the service user, family, advocates and others to ensure the support package meets the service users requirements.

A holistic assessment promoting a person-centred approach allows individuality.

We ensure that they will have a balance health and social care plans that are reflected to their needs.

Our service is continually monitored and audited to ensure we meet the needs of the purchasers and service user.
